Art Appraisal & Valuation Services

Constantine Valuations offers bespoke inventories and professional appraisals recognized internationally by government authorities, financial institutions, and leading insurance providers, including the Internal Revenue Service in the United States and equivalent agencies worldwide.

Each valuation is carefully tailored to the collector and the collection—from a single masterpiece to extensive, multi-category holdings. Our deep market knowledge and scholarly expertise allow us to deliver the highest standard of service, with absolute discretion for private collectors, museums, fiduciaries, and corporate clients.

Constantine provides valuations both in person and remotely. Using detailed documentation and high-resolution imagery, our specialists prepare draft valuation reports and update existing appraisals with precision. Where appropriate, we conduct in-person or virtual inspections to ensure accuracy and integrity throughout the process.

Appraisal Agreement

All appraisal engagements with Constantine require a signed Appraisal Agreement prior to the commencement of any work. This agreement outlines the scope, terms, and conditions of the appraisal service. A sample Appraisal Agreement is available upon request.

Appraisal Fees

Our fees are competitively structured and based on an hourly or daily rate per specialist, plus any applicable travel or out-of-pocket expenses. A detailed fee estimate will be provided and agreed upon in advance of the engagement. Invoices are issued upon delivery of the final appraisal report and are payable at that time.

Appraisal Fee Rebates

Should you later choose to sell property included in a Constantine appraisal through auction or private sale, appraisal fees may be fully or partially credited against the seller’s commission, based on the value of the property consigned.

Appraisal Timeline

Most appraisals involving fewer than twenty items are completed within approximately four weeks, following in-person verification of condition and authenticity by a Constantine specialist. For larger or more complex collections, an estimated completion timeline will be provided in the appraisal proposal.
